- Covering furniture
- Overspray
- Disposable
A dirt-cheap, disposable 9x12 ft, 1-mil polyethylene sheet that forms a fully waterproof barrier paint can't soak through, and it is featherlight, folding tiny to drape over cabinets and shield overspray. It is dangerously slippery underfoot, so never use it on floors you walk on; the thin film rips easily; and wet paint can transfer onto shoes.
Pros
- Dirt cheap and disposable โ toss it after the job, no cleanup
- Fully waterproof barrier that paint can't soak through
- Featherlight, folds tiny, and drapes over cabinets and light fixtures easily
Cons
- Dangerously slippery underfoot โ never use as a floor cover on stairs or hardwood
- Thin 1-mil film rips and punctures easily
- Paint stays wet on the surface and can transfer/track onto shoes
