SPAX's T-Star Plus multi-material screw drives into wood, 24-gauge steel, concrete and plastics without pre-drilling via its MultiCut point, and the HCR-X coating is exterior- and treated-lumber-rated. It shines on mixed-material jobs, but small 1 lb boxes run costly per pound and coated steel isn't a marine or ground-contact fastener.
