A self-priming acrylic latex wall paint whose cross-linking, stain-repelling film wipes clean without burnishing, ideal for hallways and high-traffic areas where it scrubs better than most mid-tier paints. Benjamin Moore Regal Select Interior
A low-VOC, low-odor waterborne acrylic wall paint with excellent hide and generous 400-450 sq ft coverage that often cuts a project to fewer coats, plus buttery, self-leveling application. It is among the priciest mainstream wall paints at $74-90 a gallon, sold mainly through BM dealers, and deep colors can still need two coats.

Choose Sherwin-Williams Duration Home when scrub-and-stain resistance matters most, like hallways, kids' rooms and rentals, since its cross-linking film wipes clean and shrugs off abuse. Choose Benjamin Moore Regal Select for main living rooms and bedrooms where you want the smoothest finish, best hide and lower odor, and where its 400-450 sq ft/gal coverage can save a coat. Regal Select usually costs a bit more per gallon but often goes further, while Duration Home's real-world coverage runs lower than its spec.
